About this Workshop

In this session, participants will engage with art as storytelling and analyze how change can be made through various mediums. How do we express ourselves? In what ways has this been stifled or discouraged? How can we use these forms of expression to communicate our true thoughts and feelings?

We will discuss how people are able to use art to spread messages, whether it be political, personal, or a mixture of the both (as they tend to interact often) and how expression can be cathartic in times of duress. At the end, if time permits, participants will be encouraged to create their own pieces inspired by the discussion prior.
