Soha Jafarzade (he/him/his) is a Swedish-born Iranian who moved to the U.S. at the age of thirteen. He attended the University of California – San Diego for his undergraduate education, where he was a four-year member of the track & field team and majored in Literatures of the World. After graduating, he took the advice of his parents and went to law school at the University of California – Hastings, where he won a national championship on the moot court team and was president of the UC Hastings Association of Youth Advocates and Homeless Legal Services. After practicing law for a few years, he realized that he had no desire to be an attorney and transferred his skills to higher education. Now, Soha is a career counselor to diverse student populations, as well as students interested in government & law careers, at Skidmore College in upstate New York. Soha loves food (especially sweets), soccer, and is a proud husband to Holly and dad to baby Kai!
