About this speaker

Saherah Khan was born and raised in Virginia to a Korean mother and Pakistani father. Growing up in the United States, Saherah was exposed to cultural diversity and learned the value of embracing her own diverse background from a very young age. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2018 with a B.S. in. Business Management and a B.A. in Public and Urban Affairs. She has experience working in the education, nonprofit, and policy sectors and is currently the Business Development Manager for Emzingo, a social enterprise that works with students to inspire responsible leadership. As a first-generation college student, Saherah understands the power and importance of education. She is passionate about educational equity and hopes to influence policies that provide equal educational opportunities to women and children in developing communities around the world. Today, Saherah collaborates with universities and students, emphasizing the importance of social impact and educating them on how they can be responsible business leaders. In her free time, she enjoys developing business ideas and engaging in ventures related to social entrepreneurship.
