Michael Kamara

Michael Kamara is a first-generation college senior and HEOP scholar at Skidmore College. Michael was originally born in Sierra Leone, West Africa, then moved to New York at three and grew up in East Harlem and the South Bronx. This summer, he completed an 8-week internship at Blackstone and will be returning there full-time after graduation in the summer of 2021.

Michael became passionate about finance at the age of fourteen, after completing a seven-month youth stock market program at Credit Suisse. Since then, he has completed eight internships, joined career development programs, executive boards, and is pursuing his undergraduate degree in Management and Business at Skidmore College.

Aside from his professional and academic ventures, Michael enjoys playing basketball, soccer, trading, fantasy football, traveling and volunteering in his childhood neighborhoods, East Harlem and The South Bronx.
