Kate Child

Kate is a first generation college student and grew up in a working class household. While a college student Kate struggled with financial aid paperwork, connecting with faculty and faculty advisors, and accepting support on campus. This inspired Kate to work with FLoW (first generation, low incoming, and/or working class) students at Bennington, where she has worked for just over 8 years. At Bennington College Kate works primarily with first year, international, and FLoW students and their faculty advisors.
