Jen Beltran Gastelum (she/her) is a first-gen undergraduate at Smith College. She is a junior studying Environmental Science and Policy, but she also wears other hats. She is the program associate for Smith’s Narratives Project: First-Gen Out Loud and the co-chair for CLIFS (Community for Low-Income and First-Gen Students). Jen is born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona where her parents settled after immigrating to the US. However, her dream is to live in the Pacific Northwest and raise koi fish on a small homestead.
