Alanah Rosas

Alanah Rosas is from Calumet City, IL which is a south suburb near Chicago. She is the first to receive a high school diploma and a bachelor's degree in her family. She recently graduated in December 2019 with a BA in Psychology and two minors: Sociology and Women gender sexuality studies from SIU Carbondale. She is now a part of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at SIU Carbondale. Not only does she enjoy face to face interaction, but she also likes engaging in different activities to get people involved and comfortable. With that being said, she is a part of the Southern Illinois community-based radio station, WDBX. Her show is titled LateNightsW/Lani and you can stream it live every Saturday night from 12-2 am. She also has her own plant-based food business. As a counselor in training, we must be versatile within ourselves and understand that not everyone is comfortable in the same setting as the last person. She is honored to be a part of the First-Generation Salukis and help individuals out there like myself reach their full potential.
